COLUMBIA, S.C. – Governor Henry McMaster today released the following statement in response to the S.C. Senate confirming South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice Director Freddie Pough:
"Mr. Pough is the right man for the job, and I look forward to continuing our work together to cultivate a safe environment at DJJ facilities that allows for the successful rehabilitation of the young people in its care. I'm grateful that Mr. Pough will have an opportunity to move his regionalization efforts forward and continue the tremendous work that the agency has done under his leadership."
