Alimex Establishing New Operations In Richland County

Columbia, S.C. – Alimex, a producer of precision aluminum plates, is launching operations in Richland County. The company is bringing $2 million of new capital investment and creating 27 new jobs over the next five years. 
 
Founded in Germany in 1970, Alimex supplies the worldwide metal distribution, machining and processing industry with high-precision aluminum cast plates. Through continuous product innovations, the company has achieved a leading position in both the European and global markets. Alimex has also experienced rapid growth in North America, providing high-quality, semi-finished aluminum to that market.
 
To establish operations in Richland County, Alimex will be leasing a new industrial building located at 195 Shop Grove Drive in Columbia, S.C. Hiring for the new positions is ongoing, and those interested in joining the Alimex team should visit the company’s website for more information. 
 
The Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved a $50,000 grant to Richland County to assist with the costs of building upfit.
