Tradewind Energy Establishing New Solar Project in Orangeburg County

Columbia, S.C. – Tradewind Energy – one of the largest independent wind and solar project development companies in the U.S. – is launching a new, $89 million solar production facility in Orangeburg County. Known as the Bowman Solar Project, this new facility will complement an existing $85 million solar facility in Orangeburg County, which the company announced in February 2017.

Projected to come online by early 2020, the 75-megawatt (MW) project will generate the equivalent electricity required to power 15,000 homes.
