Custom Profile Establishing Operations in Kershaw County

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Custom Profile, a manufacturer and supplier of plastic profile extrusions, today announced plans to establish operations in Kershaw County. The company’s $1.7 million investment is projected to create 70 new jobs. 

Since 1992, Custom Profile has specialized in extruded plastic products for everyday appliances, as well as products for medical and marine industries. The company is employee-owned and serves a blue chip customer base, including Herman Miller, Haworth, Hon/Allsteel, Steelcase, Whirlpool, Electrolux, GE Appliance, 3M and others. 

Located at 30 Hengst Blvd. in Camden, S.C., Custom Profile’s new facility will manufacture plastic profile extrusions for the furniture, appliance and marine industries.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to the project. A $100,000 Set-Aside grant was also awarded to Kershaw County to assist with the costs associated with property improvements.
